San Genesio - Towards the realm of the Haflinger horses

The village of San Genesio is connected through the 3rd cable car to Bolzano.
We would not recommend the area for a short visit, as there is already a steep 10 min. climb to the village itself.
However, if rambling is your passion, and you have plenty of time to spare, the area of San Genesio, Avlengo and Langfenn might be your own little paradise:
The landscape is everchanging, you will venture through forests, vaste grasslands or the very characteristic landscape of the “Salten” . The view on the surrounding mountain chains is excellent, and you will find plenty of inns to enjoy a rustical meal and a short rest.
The area is very sunny, which means, if you have the right equipment, you can enjoy the area even in the wintertime.
